The Deep Cove Winter Market is a community market that supports small business, artisans and makers. Our makers and artisans are all juried and the market showcases local makers and artisans who are thoughtfully curated to complement each other. We want our vendors to provide high-quality offerings and we limit the number of vendors in specific categories to reduce saturation at the venue--while striving to provide variety.and the market sell their product.
As part of our commitment to community we also offer 1 complimentary table to every school in our FOS to support their fundraising endeavours and to promote volunteerism.
This rigour for the event is meant to keep the market successful for vendors and consumers and our goal is to create a community event featuring handmade products by makers and artisans that are eco-friendly with a light footprint on Mother Earth. We want to bring vibrancy to the community a well planned out market that includes fabulous vendors, food trucks and can support small business and support emerging and young artist.
We want to foster young talent starting their craft and our Junior Makers (12 & under) & Creators (13-18 section of the market is dedicated to supporting young artisans.
Entrance fee of $5 for attendees 13 years + up. Seniors are no charge.
We will continue to have Door prizes for advance ticket purchases that features maker's art.
In the spirit of the community market, net proceeds for our market will be donated to a grassroots non-profit organization. In the past we have donated to Seycove PAC, NS Search + Rescue, Covenant House, NS Family Services, Mount Seymour Little League and the Lions Society.
